COMPANY HISTORY & PROFILE

Substantial ongoing projects give Mericana the ability to draw from a professional and reliable pool of established subcontractors and provide an economy-of-scale benefit to individual projects as a result of these relationships. The above factors, in conjunction with a staff of very competent and professional construction personnel, have consistently resulted in the completion of projects on time and within budget.

A note about Green Building:
Raymond Ensor (Principal) has worked on homes incorporating many elements of sustainable building practices, including passive and active solar, partial earth shelter, recycled materials, and higher standards of insulation and weatherproofing. He's now taking it to the next level with the support of his partners at Mericana. Raymond attended the Green Build Conference at Jackson Wyoming in May, and will be attending The International Green Building Conference in Denver, Colorado mid November ‘06. Mericana's commitment to sustainable building practices will lead rather than follow on the Western Slope.

Ray Bailis lived the “Green Lifestyle” off the grid, for 12 years. His lifestyle was the subject of a feature article in Real Simple Magazine, March 2003. During this time period Ray become an expert on alternative power, green products and building practices.
